Never AfraId to Start over

Born and raised in Pakistan. In 2012, I took a leap of faith and started over. Having lived in the same place for 26 years, I made the most of the next 13 years by living in over 30 places.

I joined Miami Ad School in Berlin. Learned how to be a creative, a copywriter and most importantly, learned how to be myself. I lived in Berlin, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Paris, Geneva and now, in London.

I love sports. I have, at some point in my life, tried to play every sport under the sun.

In the last 10 years I’ve used YouTube to teach myself how to do the following: swim, cook, play the drums and the piano, make electronic music, build furniture, fix plumbing, customise a bike. This isn’t the complete list.

I’m taller than both my parents, but shorter than both my brothers. Stuck finely in the middle. Works well, since, I’m the middle child.

My favourite T.V shows are The Sopranos, The Wire and Mad Men. My brothers think I make most of my life decisions by thinking “what would Don Draper do?”.

If it isn’t obvious till now, Yellow is indeed my favourite colour. At some point in my life, I’ve owned every item of clothing in yellow. I made the mistake of wearing a yellow jacket to IKEA once. Now, I can tell you where the sofa beds are.

Drums are my favourite instrument. I believe being a drummer fits my personality perfectly. Not craving to be at the front, but setting the tone for everyone else to perform.

I used to have a recurring dream about finding a camera and becoming a photographer. One day I found my dad’s old SLR and start taking photos.
